Our youngest staff member Raphael, son of our employee François, hosted his debut party. A passionate hunter, he shot two rabbits which his father grilled expertly.
Of course we barbecue with old vines at La Grange, it makes for a very fine taste.
François stacked the wood in a small sandpit and put a selfmade construction in front of it: an electrical skewer. When I asked him if he had invented it himself he answered: 'of course. I have to occupy my mind with something after all.'
We had three hours to admire this technical marvel, fit for the boyscouts.
While we waited on the barbecue, the very hungry could fest on Scampi - those were not hunted and shot by Raphael.
The party started at noon and ended at 7 pm. We all had our bellies full of good food and were a tiny bit tipsy because we had good wine from La Grange.
